Since the outbreak of war in Ukraine, manufacturers of military weapons, especially drones, have been unable to avoid orders. One example of this is the Munich-based company
Quantum Systems. The 2015 start-up was actually intended for civil aviation: foresters and farmers were supposed to benefit from the small, handy device, which costs barely 6,000 dollars.
But things turned out differently: the brutal but predictable (and predicted) Russian war of conquest in the middle of Europe has shaken up the sleepy Western community. Putin's attempt to overrun the Ukrainian armed forces in just a few days has failed; the first producers of defensible material are ready and waiting, with deeds instead of words. The first result is the "Vector".
Small, cheap, effective, unmanned.
The inconspicuous device has already saved countless valuable soldiers' lives and provided the country's defense artillery with invaluable target coordinates.
Quantum-Systems is a leading manufacturer of civilian and military surveillance drones, relying on advanced technologies to meet the needs of the armed forces.
The founder and CEO of Quantum-Systems, Florian Seibel, a former Army Air Corps officer, founded the company and developed the Vector drone. The total of three tiltable rotors - one on each wing and one on the tail - enable VTOL capability and were integrated into the drone's design from the outset.
The Vector is a fixed-wing UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) with vertical take-off capabilities (VTOL).Unlike conventional fixed-wing UAVs, it requires neither a launch catapult nor a runway. It lands without a net or parachute. The Vector can be launched and landed from the ground, from platforms (including at sea) or by hand. Its VTOL capability enables a significantly greater flight time and speed compared to copter drones.
The UAV can be launched and landed like a helicopter drone from the ground, from platforms - including at sea - or by hand. The advantage of the VTOL system over copter drones such as the Mikado lies in the significantly greater flight time and speed.

Here are a few facts and figures about our performance to date:
Quantum Systems is on a mission to revolutionize the aerial reconnaissance industry by bringing together their world-class UAS platforms and software.
Some of their remarkable products:
Trinity Pro: A next generation eVTOL fixed wing mapping drone.
Vector and Scorpion: These two models offer a 2-in-1 ISR solution for professional use. Initially only intended as a reconnaissance drone, the Scorpion can quickly be converted into a "kamikaze drone".
